What was announced? New IOS 15, new macOS Monterey, WatchOS 8, tvOS15 and more! If you are an Apple fan boy / girl this was all great news. IOS took the stage with the Mac info way down the bottom.
macOS – MacOS Monterey follows last year’s MacOS Big Sur. It includes new features like Universal Control, which will allow Mac users to use a single mouse and keyboard to move between your Mac and iPad for a seamless experience. It also includes AirPlay and a redesigned Safari browser with better sync features between devices. The OS also added in several of the new features found in iOS 15, like spatial audio in FaceTime and Apple’s Focus feature.
WatchOS – Apple Watch wearers also have plenty to be excited about. WatchOS 8 is getting more mindfulness and Apple Fitness Plus features, portrait mode support for the Photos watch face and gif support on Messages.
tvOS 15 –
So what’s new for tvOS 15? There are a few changes to the Apple TV user interface such as: For example, a list of recommendations for viewing multiple users that appear regardless of the selected user profile. So when you’re watching with roommates or family members, you have a convenient place to browse things you all like and not be cursed with a single person’s algorithm that decides each movie night.
There’s the introduction of SharePlay, an Apple-specific feature for sharing TV streaming services with friends via FaceTime (which is also supported to a limited extent on Android devices). You can set it up for a variety of streaming platforms from Apple TV like Hulu, Disney Plus, and Paramount Plus – but not Netflix – while watching Apple TV hardware from your iPhone stream casting continue chatting with your handset
